Hi y’all! Sorry I’ve been away for so long! I made a pretty big move after I got a new internship (yay!), and with that and various life events, this blog has suffered. For that, I’m sorry! But I’m back with a new post that I’m very passionate about- i.e. Jessica Stam’s new choice of hair color. I’ve always been a big Jessica fan, and like most models, she looks really good blonde. I’m not opposed to any hair color change. I like when people are adventurous with their hair. Just because I can’t dramatically dye my hair blonde or red doesn’t mean that no one else can…but Jessica has made a mistake, me thinks. I miss the blonde! Bring it back please, Jess! PS- love you!
What do y’all think? Good change? Bad change? Discuss.

I might be a little late on the band wagon, but I’ve found my new model crush: Barbara Palvin. I’ve literally seen her all over Pinterest, Tumblr, and other fashion sites, but had no idea who she was until I came across her name a couple of days ago! I can’t get over her eyes and her eyebrows- I’m so insanely jealous. I have blue eyes and very thin eyebrows, so of course I want what I can’t have. And that porcelain skin. is. flawless. Considering she’s younger than me…and an international model…if given the chance i would totally take a couple of days in her shoes. Totally.
…my new Pinterest. I know, I know, it’s blasphemy. But for real, I’m lovin me some Tumblr. All the blogs I follow just post pictures that make me feel good inside, like I’m on the beach, with a puppy, sipping on some Chick-fil-a lemonade…ahhh. Check out mine here!
My sister is spending Spring Break in New York, and I’m at home wondering:
- Why I’m not the winner of the Mega Millions lottery
- Why I’m not Alexa Chung, and finally
- Why Alexa Chung and Carly Simon (circa 1972) look so much alike
Am I the only one who sees the resemblance?

Meryl Streep has always been one of my favorite actresses, pretty much since I fell in love with her in Adaptation (which is one of her smaller films, but everyone should see it). Not only is she an amazing actress in so many different kinds of movies, she seems so smart and so normal. And of course I’m beyond jealous of her beautiful hair in all of these photos!
Here’s Meryl: proving you don’t have to look like Bridgette Bardot (however much I love her), Britney Spears, or Kate Moss to be drop dead gorgeous.
And here are Meryl’s triplets, her daughters Mamie, Gracie, and Louisa Gummer:
I know her hair and wardrobe isn’t as “androgynous” and “edgy” as they were in 2010, but Agyness looks awesome in this dress at the Empire Awards.

While I was searching for my Jessica Stam post material I cam across this video done by Naq Lee. While I think some of these models could definitely benefit from a cheese burger…and a whole pie, it’s so cool to see these pretty girls all lined up next to each other. Their features are so different, but they are all, at least mostly, what we would call “pretty” or “beautiful.” It makes you question what really makes up a pretty face. Is it a slender nose, wide set eyes, pale skin, or a full mouth? These girls could not look any different from each other, but they all are beautiful. It proves that there isn’t a set standard for “pretty”…besides being rail thin. But whatevs.
