Though I’m nowhere close to getting married, I’m pretty much obsessed with all things weddings. Maybe y’all have noticed? I love pouring over the details in the catering, the cake, the decorations, the dress, and pretty much every other little possibility there is in a couple’s nuptials. Unfortunately, no matter how much I like to dream, not everyone can have that $50,000 dream wedding. In browsing through some of my favorite wedding blogs and websites I stumbled upon Wedding Chicks blog, which hosts photos from real weddings as well as wedding ideas for future brides. One thing I’m L-O-V-I-N-G about their site is they have a whole section just for DIY and free downloadable projects! I’m being realistic in my future wedding plans, so knowing that this website has such pretty (and budget-friendly) invites, place cards, and other papers makes me so happy! Check out some of their free templates!

Living in Charleston for the almost four months that I did was amazing…partially because I was literally right next to King Street (aka Heaven) and Pottery Barn was only a few blocks away from my dorm. My roommates and I would take day walks to Pottery Barn just to ooh and ah at the lamps, throws, and decorations that we couldn’t afford or even be able to put in our 10 x 12 rooms (shared by two). Early December, which for college students, is the most stressful time because of exams and impending hours of studying, was so magical in Pottery Barn. Women would go in to Christmas shop for others and for themselves, and I tried to shop for my mom and some relatives. The warm smell of cinnamon filled the store. I only recently started getting the Pottery Barn catalog since I moved back to Columbia, and I desperately wish there were a store near here. I miss being able to physically walk around the goods.
Does anyone else get this with Pottery Barn? Is it just a southern thing?

Even though I love my Target desk, I secretly can’t stand having it in my bedroom. I want a real office where I can focus on being productive, not where I can look at my nice comfy bed and all the magazines I have yet to read. My Pinterest addiction doesn’t help my secret obsession. Welcome to my interior design dream/nightmare.

Since I painted my bedroom last semester (from three green, one purple wall, to all Benjamin Moore Hazy Skies a la this room), I’ve been searching for pretty art to put up on my walls. But I’ve found something out that I didn’t think I would…it’s hard to find good art, y’all. Like really. The right size, the right colors, the right price…it’s tiring.
Of course Pinterest is the perfect place to find the best art pieces and artists. Here are a few of my favorites. Do you like them?
I’ve been scouring the internet for pretty long matches because every time I try to light candles I feel like I’m going to burn my fingers clean off. But I don’t want just regular matches. Especially in my room, I need pretty bright matches AND a container that looks more like a decoration. Do y’all have any good matches? Where did you get them? I’m dying!
