I’ve been reminding myself (and have been reminded) that if I want to study abroad next year, I need to start saving all of my money. For those of you that don’t know me…that’s near impossible for me. It’s equivalent to seersucker going out of style in the south. Under normal circumstances, it would never happen. But Paris is big. Very, very big. So I’ve had to put a giant lock on my bank account, and watch as my wish list gets longer and longer.
So I’m thinking maybe posting my wish list might be therapeutic for me. What’s on y’all’s wish lists? I have a special folder on my Safari toolbar!
The title of this post, by the way, means small necklace. I’ve been brushing up on my French in advance of my possible European adventure a year from now, so I figured this would be a cute addition to a post every now and then.
One of my friends has a small necklace that she wears every day with a little cross on it, and though I’m not big into religious displays in jewelry or in tattoos, this necklace is beautiful! I’ve been searching for a small, petit everyday necklace that would just go with everything. It can’t be too short or too long, and the pendant can’t be too big. Any ideas? Do y’all have any jewelry that you wear everyday?
Easter is here and I’m so excited because I’m going to attempt my first egg dying…since I was like 10. I’m trying to choose what different kinds of colors and patterns I want, and these all look so pretty! Maybe I’ll just have to try them all…
And these are just some pretty spring things!
I cannot express my deep, deep love for bow ties. As this past weekend was the Carolina Cup, I think this post is especially relevant. I don’t know what it is about them, but when I see a boy wearing a bow tie I automatically think of old Carolina (not that those were necessarily good times…i.e. racism, slavery, sexism, etc.) when men and women would dress up and go to dances or something…you know? It makes me think of my grandpa when he was younger. And fried chicken in the backyard with lemonade. If I don’t have a son someday I’m going to be really upset…I need a son to buy bow ties for.
What do y’all think of bow ties? They’re really popular in the south, but I’m not sure about the rest of the country. Do bow ties transcend past the Mason Dixie line?

Oh, Gossip Girl how you slay me. I’m like a season behind from everyone else (so no spoilers, please!), so of course I see the occasional commercial for the newest season. While I’m dying to find out what happens with Blair (apparently she is getting married?!) or Chuck…or Dan, Nate, Vanessa, Jenny, and most of all, Serena, it’s mostly the hoards of gowns, blazers, coats, and accessories that have me swooning. I guess it’s just another day in the life of New York’s finest, right?
What are some of y’all’s favorite Serena looks? I’m posting a few of mine, but of course it’s damn near impossible to actually find pictures or name them all.

I’ve never been a fan of big gifts on Valentine’s Day- I guess it just seems unnecessary to me. Save the nice presents for Christmas or my birthday. A nice card, maybe a little gift, or flowers would be sweet enough gestures for me. So, if you’re wanting a little something for Valentine’s day that isn’t in the shape of an engagement ring box, I found some sweet gifts anyway.
If I had a beau for Valentine’s Day (commence crying) this is what I would ask for. Are there any little trinkets on your lists?
