Hi y’all! I’m sorry it’s been forever since I’ve posted here- this summer’s been busy! BUT I’ve decided to move blogs over to the Blogger platform. I’ll be updating much more regularly than I did this summer, and I hope that some of y’all will care to stop by my new blog and take a look! Here is the link:

Most of the time, I thank God that I was born and raised in the South. There’s really nothing like it in the whole world. But if I hadn’t grown up here, I wish I could have grown up in the Northeast. You know, New England. Full of sailing on sailboats a la the Kennedy’s, wearing nautical stripes, hanging out at light houses (you know, the only things that New Englanders do). Oh yeah, and look ADORABLE all the time. Like these people. Oh my God I love them.
By the way, the girl who is in all the photos is named Sarah Vickers and her boyfriend is the one in the green shorts, Kiel James Patrick. They both work for his New England style company. Check it out here. Everything is legit beautiful in every single way. Also visit her personal style blog here!
Hi y’all! In my never ending quest to find pretty things and make them mine, I’ve created a new Tumblr account! It’s basically just another way for me to waste time that I should be spending doing other things, but it makes me happy, so that’s all that matters, right?! Definitely check it out- I put all the pictures there that I want to put on here, but it would literally take up the whole page.
PS- here is the link! ^^
I may or may not have gone a little crazy this weekend at Target with money that I may or may not have actually had. Whilst shopping for birthday cards I, like always, happened to wander into the personal, bridal, and baby shower stationery isle. Not only did I find some cards, notepads, and invitations that I’ve had my eye on for a while, but I fell in love, y’all. Seriously. Head over heels, not thinking clearly type of love. With Mara-Mi for Target.
I kept myself from buying the whole collection, but I did end up buying two sets of cards that I’m so excited to use for any occasion. The collection has cards specifically for thank you occasions, but also simple and unique cards for everyday use. I’ll admit I’m definitely an email type of person, but I wanted to use these as soon as I saw them on the shelf.
What do y’all think? The collections are only $6-$30!
While I’m on Spring Break lounging around home, literally doing nothing besides waking up late, reading, and enjoying the pretty weather that’s (for now) been gracing South Carolina with its presence, there are people going somewhere even warmer, and a little more tropical. It hit me today that girls have actually already begun buying bathing suits (in February!) and are galavanting around in them on white sand beaches in places like Costa Rica and St. Thomas and the Bahamas.
I know that Target and Victoria’s Secret and department stores stock up on their swimwear ridiculously early, but during the winter, right after Christmas, THEN Valentine’s day, I’m in absolutely no mood to go shopping for bathing suits. So since I won’t, I’ll just look at the ones I do like. Here are some of my faves that I will not be touching with a 10 foot pole for at least another two months.
And there’s a reason for the inspiration too. My cousin welcomed the newest edition to our family yesterday, Rita Kate!
I’ve had this song on repeat allllllll day. Can’t go wrong with Mott the Hoople! I mean, just look at those white blazers!
