Wedding Paper DIYs

Though I’m nowhere close to getting married, I’m pretty much obsessed with all things weddings. Maybe y’all have noticed? I love pouring over the details in the catering, the cake, the decorations, the dress, and pretty much every other little possibility there is in a couple’s nuptials. Unfortunately, no matter how much I like to dream, not everyone can have that $50,000 dream wedding. In browsing through some of my favorite wedding blogs and websites I stumbled upon Wedding Chicks blog, which hosts photos from real weddings as well as wedding ideas for future brides. One thing I’m L-O-V-I-N-G about their site is they have a whole section just for DIY and free downloadable projects! I’m being realistic in my future wedding plans, so knowing that this website has such pretty (and budget-friendly) invites, place cards, and other papers makes me so happy! Check out some of their free templates!

The High Beams

Future home wish list item numero uno: ceilings with high beams. Realistically is that number one? No. It’s more like indoor plumbing and ridiculously good air conditioning (I live in the south, y’all. It’s necessary). I just think they make a room look so much bigger and home-y. Even if you live in a city, the beams make a home feel like it’s out in the country, like a little slice of home with a glass of lemonade. Do y’all like these high beams? I’m in love!

How cool is this room? Besides the beams…that’s a boat on the ceiling!

Why Can’t I Look Like Gwen Stefani?

I’m normally not much of a “fashion risk” appreciated. I much more enjoy the classics…but Gwen Stefani stole my heart with this one, y’all. The outfit is by Stella McCartney, one of my favorite designers. She looks amazing. Love it? Hate it? Discuss.

Something New

Hi y’all! In my never ending quest to find pretty things and make them mine, I’ve created a new Tumblr account! It’s basically just another way for me to waste time that I should be spending doing other things, but it makes me happy, so that’s all that matters, right?! Definitely check it out- I put all the pictures there that I want to put on here, but it would literally take up the whole page.

PS- here is the link! ^^

On My Wishlist…

I’ve been reminding myself (and have been reminded) that if I want to study abroad next year, I need to start saving all of my money. For those of you that don’t know me…that’s near impossible for me. It’s equivalent to seersucker going out of style in the south. Under normal circumstances, it would never happen. But Paris is big. Very, very big. So I’ve had to put a giant lock on my bank account, and watch as my wish list gets longer and longer.

So I’m thinking maybe posting my wish list might be therapeutic for me. What’s on y’all’s wish lists? I have a special ¬†folder on my Safari toolbar!

Flower Lovin’

As you might be able to tell from the name of this site, I love flowers. I can’t grow them, per se, but I think having a vase of flowers in every room can add a bit of brightness to a home. That’s why one of my favorite parts of wedding photos is the flower arrangements. They’re always so beautiful! I think that by the time I walk down the isle I’ll know every single flower and color to go into my bouquet AND in my future house! Obviously you know what my favorites are…

What do y’all think? Are there any favorites that you like to have in your house? What about in a wedding?

Home Hoping

I’ve been dealing with a bit of drama trying to figure out my housing situation for next semester. When dreaming of college in high school I never even considered that where I would live would be anything close to a problem, or any kind o stress inducer. So when I go to Pinterest I’m in dream land, just daydreaming of the day I can settle down and decorate and be happy.
